HOW DOES SUBJECT CHOICE GUIDANCE FIT INTO THE CAREER DECISION-MAKING PROCESS?
The career a person chooses is closely linked with their interests. Therefore, the subjects a learner chooses for matric should be closely linked to their interest to open the door towards a career that they will ultimately choose.
WHY A SUBJECT CHOICE ASSESSMENT WITH SMARTCHOICEPARENTING?
The MB10 questionnaire that is administered gives an excellent profile of the learner’s interests.
Results of the learner’s profile are available immediately after completion of the questionnaire.
Results are discussed privately with the parents and the learner. The advantage of a post-test personal interview is that any concerns that either the learner or parent may have can be addressed and resolved.
WHERE DOES THE TESTING TAKE PLACE?
The subject choice test can be done in-person in Linden (Jhb), or online at the learner’s home.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE TESTING?
The questionnaire takes about 35 minutes to complete.
WHAT DOES THE TESTING COST?
The cost of a single Subject Choice Assessment is R1 300 (medical aid claimable), which includes feedback to the learner and their parents.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TESTING?
After the Subject Choice questionnaire has been completed, comprehensive and balanced feedback is given first to the learner followed by a session with the learner and his/her parents.
